Art Class County Crawl

Mark your Calendars...

      District 5 will be hosting the first Art Class County Crawl on Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 10:00am-12:00pm. We would like to visit a new classroom of one of our members in each of the District 5 counties to complete an activity throughout the year.  Here we will be able to share ideas and projects that our students are doing in person while interacting with fellow art educators. Mickie Danforth will be hosting the first one at her school:  Fall Creek Valley Middle School, 9701 East 63^rd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46236.   District 5 members can come learn, relax and network with fellow art educators!

Fall Convention 2011

How many of you have registered for Fall Convention? What workshops are you most looking forward to?


Don't forget the District 5 Workshop on Saturday morning of Convention. We are doing a project that fits with the Convention theme of "Footloose in Art".

2011 Fall Convention Registration

Convention Registration is available at http://www.aeai.org/sitepage.asp?page=Convention . Or you may go to www.aeai.org and then go to the Convention area on the left side of the page. You may register online or type in the registration form and send it in by mail!

Pre-Convention workshops will begin on Friday, November 4, 2011 with workshops that reguire pre-registration.

Friday evening will feature a reception at the Indianapolis Museum of Art from 6 to 10 pm with Enid ZImmerman as the keynote speaker at 8:15pm.

The convention will run all day Saturday November 5 with workshops, presentations, and a vendor's area at the Marten House in Indianapolis.

The Saturday keynote will be Marvin Bartel.

On Saturday evening, there will be an Award's Celebration for all registered attendees and a movie night for AEAI Student Attendees.

The convention will continue Sunday until noon with workshops and presentations along with keynote speaker Bruce Langton.
